While we didn’t receive as much snow as other parts of the country, the Crawford Park District still had fun in the powder Saturday.

Taking over the northern side of the Bucyrus’ Outhwaite Reservoir at noon kids of all ages took to the hill for a fun time of sledding.

Crawford Park District Naturalist Logan Masters explained why the Park District hosted the event.

Sledding 2“It’s the wintertime, it’s the weekend, so sledding is one of the favorite pastimes of many kids,” Masters said. “So we are just trying to always let the kids have fun. If there is something that they want to do we will try to do it the best we can. Not the greatest amount of snow today, but we got a couple people out here and they are having some fun.”

Taking the slopes with her dad Josh Dyer, Christie Dyer explained what she liked most about sledding.

“It’s fun,” Dyer said.
