Young Riders 4H club of Crawford County gives kids a chance to learn and grow as equestrians. Many kids get chances through our club that they wouldn’t otherwise.

They get to lease a horse or use their own horse to complete projects and exhibit their horse at the county fair. Riders also get the chance to qualify and show their horse at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus.

From cloverbuds to graduation, kids learn horse safety, teamwork, leadership skills, and much more. 4H is a great organization for kids to make new friends and find new hobbies.

Every club has their own meetings; Young Riders had their first meeting of the year on Sunday, January 17. During this meeting they elected officers for this year. They are as follows: President Riley Erwin, Vice-President Sydney Long, Secretary Emma Studer, Treasurer Carli Fogle, Safety Officers Morgan Lambert and Katie Ruffner, Recreation Officer Clint Erwin, News Reporters Sara Misura and Cecilia Wurm, and Health Officer Kennedy Dyer.

These officers and leaders will help educate other members and keep everyone interested and having fun while being safe. With the help of our advisors, (Head Advisor Trisha Tackett, Samantha Vinson, Samantha Lambert, Andrea Long, Rhonda Cole, Dustin Rowland, and Cloverbud Leader Vicki Edgington), we will all have a good year.
