BUCYRUS — With only a week until the 51st Annual Bratwurst Festival, the Bucyrus community is preparing for a fun-filled festival schedule. The festival begins on Thursday, August 16 and continues through Saturday, August 18.

The festival begins at 11 a.m. on Thursday with the Opening Ceremony located on the Wyandot Mutual Insurance Stage. Bratwurst Festival Royalty will be crowned Thursday as well, with the Princess Pageant at 3:30 p.m., the Junior Princess Pageant at 5:30 p.m. and the Queen’s Pageant at 8 p.m., all on the Wyandot Mutual Insurance Stage.

A parade is set to take route each day of the festival. A multitude of activities and contests are scheduled throughout the festival. Among them is the Bratwurst- Eating Contest, , Water Balloon Toss, Cheerleading Contest, Men’s Leg Contest and more.

Each day will be filled with music and entertainment at various locations and times. A few of the entertainers include: The New Washington Band, Uke 3, Magic with Eli and The OSU Alumni Band.
