MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A fatal shooting incident occurred at a residence on 423 Spring St. in Mansfield, early Saturday morning. The Mansfield Police Department responded to a 911 call at approximately 01:49 am, leading to the discovery of a deceased 25-year-old victim inside the residence.
The victim, whose identity is yet to be released, appears to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds, resulting in death. The Richland County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that the victim will be sent for an autopsy, as part of the ongoing investigation.
Detectives from the Major Crimes unit are currently working to uncover the circumstances that led to the shooting, as well as to identify any potential suspects. However, details remain limited due to the active and fluid nature of the investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
