BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—An investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office has unveiled triple generational moral perversions against children.

Chandler Cobb, 25, was arrested on charges of raping two young children who were ages eight and six at the time of the incidents occurring between 2015-2018.

Chandler Cobb is the third man in the Cobb family to be charged with sex crimes against children.

According to Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall, Chandler Cobb confessed to raping the victims who are close to him.

Despite committing the crimes as a juvenile, the delayed reporting resulted in Chandler Cobb being charged as an adult and facing a potential life sentence without parole.

In the case against the 25-year-old Chandler Cobb, he allegedly told investigators he decided to stop the abuse when he started dating his fiancé. He warned the victims to keep silent.

During the court hearing, Judge Shane Leuthold emphasized the severity of the crimes and the legal implications.

Despite Cobb’s clean record and support from his mother, grandparents, and fiancé, the Judge set a one-million-dollar bond, citing concerns about flight risk and public safety. Judge Leuthold also noted that Cobb appeared in Court wearing a suicide smock, indicating there is potential for self-harm. Leuthold said that since Cobb now knows his potential fate is life in prison without parole, he presents a significant risk for flight.

If Cobb can make bond and is released, he will be under strict monitoring and house arrest, with no contact allowed with the now teenage victims.

The case is pending a grand jury review as the community awaits further developments.

Chet Cobb, 45 (Chandler’s father), is currently serving a fifty-four-month prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to pandering sexually explicit material involving a minor.

Chet Cobb was transported from prison to Common Pleas Court Wednesday, facing three new counts of pandering obscenities involving a minor while his son (Chandler Cobb) was being charged with rape in the Municipal Court below.

Mark Cobb, 66 (Chandler’s grandfather), is also serving a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence on the same charges as his son Chet.

According to Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall, the investigation revealed a disturbing family dynamic. Between the shared pictures and ongoing investigations, it was revealed that in addition to the crimes committed by Chandler Cobb, a consensual sexual relationship between Mark Cobb and his son Chet Cobb was ongoing.

Crawford County Now will continue to provide updates on this ongoing investigation.
