Prince Candidate
Cole Hudson
Cole Hudson is the son of Craig and Karen Hudson. He is representing the Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H club where he has served as a safety officer. He takes dairy, dairy beef and Holstein steers as his livestock projects. This fall Cole will be a freshman at Colonel Crawford High School. He is a member of the Colonel Crawford FFA. Cole likes spending time with his family while working on the family farm. In his free time, he enjoys working with his 4-H animals, riding his four-wheeler, and helping other people.
Princess Candidates
Sydney Furr
Sydney Furr is the 15-year-old daughter of Jim and Maranda Miller. This fall Sydney will be attending Colonel Crawford High School as a sophomore. She has been part of Crawford Little Critters 4-H club but is now in the Liberty Leaders 4-H club where she is the Vice President. This is Sydney’s 8th year showing rabbits and she has taken multiple Department One projects over the years. Sydney is also involved in sports at school including track, cross-county and golf. In her free time, she loves to camp, go to the beach, hangout with friends and be with her family. Sydney also loves to take care of her two rabbits, Money Mac and Margo.
Sydney Link
Sydney is the daughter of Adam and Jenny Link. She is the older sister of Samantha. Sydney will be an 8th grader in the fall at William Crawford Intermediate School and participates in swimming, track and will be running cross country in the fall. She has been swimming for Colonel Crawford USA swimming for 4 years, and summer swim team for 8 years. She is a member of St. Joseph Church in Crestline. Sydney is the 2022-2023 Crestline Harvest Festival Princess and was the 2109-2021 Crestline Harvest Festival Little Miss 1st attendant. She loves to represent Crestline, meet new people and attend parades.
Sydney is a 7-year member of the Liberty Leaders 4-H club, where she holds the Assistant Secretary office. Her past offices include Asst. Secretary, Health and Safety leader (3 times). Sydney loves attending 4-H camp at Kelly’s Island and is currently a counselor in training for 4-H camp. Her past and current 4-H projects include Market Rabbits, How to Grow your Garden, Safe Use of Guns, Laundry, Cooking, Rope, Archery and her all-time favorite thing to do is a Demonstration. She has earned a chance to present her demonstration at the State Fair for 3 years.
Sydney would like to become the Crawford County Fair Princess because it is a great way to get out and meet new people, attend new fairs and be a role model for all the little 4Her’s.
Queen Candidates
Lynae McKibben
Lynae McKibben, 17, is the daughter of Bradley and Krista McKibben. This is her ninth year in 4-H and she is currently serving as the Secretary of the Dairy Maids and Gents 4-H Club. Lynae is the Vice President of the Junior Fair Board and a 4-H Camp Counselor. She will be a senior at Colonel Crawford High School this fall. Lynae is also in the Sci-Med Academy at North Central State College. She is involved in basketball, football cheerleading, track, pep band, marching band, rock band, vision, and academic challenge. She is an active member of Leo Club, and National Honor Society. Lynae also spends time playing piano and organ, singing with her family, and hanging out with her friends. Lynae is showing her two hogs Babe and Ruth at the fair this year.
Niyah Shipman
Niyah Shipman is the 17-year-old daughter of Thad and Michelle Shipman. She is very active with her school, even though she does not go to Colonel Crawford for the academic side of things; she is still involved with varsity volleyball and her track team. She is also part of an organization called HOSA, which is represented at Pioneer where she attends for lab medical assisting. Niyah is also very outing, hardworking, caring, and loves to help others around her.
Caelinn Diekmann
Caelinn Diekmann is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Brandi Sipe. She is a ten-year member of the North Auburn Hustlers 4-H Club where she is the current president and enjoys doing department one projects for the fair. This fall, Caelinn will be a senior at Buckeye Central High School where she is a varsity cheerleader, in the marching band, show choir, and wind ensemble, and participates in various clubs such as National Honors Society, Debate Club, Student Council, Spanish Club, and others. In her free time, Caelinn enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family, baking, and shopping.
Elizabeth Schubert
My name is Elizabeth Schubert, and I am a part of Crawford County Denim and Paws 4-H club. I currently attend Crestline High School as a senior and the University of Findlay as a dual enrollment student with plans to graduate Spring 2024. I show an alpaca named Rocket who has taught me a lot about what it means to bond with an animal. Animals are my passion, and my future plans are to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. I love to be involved in my school and community through community service along with clubs and sports.
Linnea Gerlach
Linnea Gerlach, 16, is going into her senior year at Wynford High School. Linnea is a 12-year member of the Mt. Zion Buckeyes 4-H club. She is currently the senior class secretary as well as being involved in Interact Club as the secretary, FCCLA as the vice president, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Science Club. She is also a varsity cheerleader and swimmer for her school. Outside of school, Linnea is the secretary of the Crawford County Junior Fair Board. During the fair, Linnea shows her Alpaca, Hershey.
Ruby Stone
Ruby Stone is a Junior at Wynford High School. She is an eight-year member of 4-H and a three-year member of the Heartland 4-H Club. She is the daughter of Erin Michaels and Greg Stone. Ruby has five siblings who are all 4-H members as well. She is also a part of Junior Fair Board, National Honor Society, Camp Counseling, and Wynford Interact Club. Ruby enjoys sewing, making crafts, baking, derbies, and playing alto saxophone. She prides herself on helping her community and being kind to others.
