The 157th Annual Crawford County Fair begins Sunday and while annual fair traditions will continue, there are a few things to do that are new at the fair.

DemoDerby1The fair starts off with a new event on Sunday with a 5K run starting at 9 a.m. at the grandstands. The Demo Derby is a fair staple, but will move to 6 Sunday night.

While Buckeye Rodeo will be bringing the rodeo back to the fair in the grandstands at 7 p.m. on Monday, Wambold’s Amazing Animal Show will be returning to the fair after a one-year hiatus. Wambold’s will hold its first event at 8 p.m. Monday, followed by performances at 5 and 8 p.m. from Tuesday through Saturday.

wild animalsAlso coming back for the fair this year are lower entrance prices. Entrance to the 2014 Crawford County Fair will cost $5 which is down from the $6 gate ticket price of recent years.

Other fresh things to do at the 2014 edition of the Crawford County Fair include educational programs presented by the Crawford County Farm Bureau throughout the course of the fair in the Whetstone Building.

The Crawford County Fair runs from Sunday through Saturday.
