BUCYRUS―It has only been a few months since Danielle Rebon recorded her first CD, but it felt like much longer until her first batch of the finished product was delivered to her doorstep.
“I received them last Friday. I was so excited but it still seems so surreal,” said Danielle, who is the daughter of Pastor Dan and Karolyn Rebon.
Danielle recorded the CD at her parents’ church in Bucyrus, Father’s Heart Healing Center on Woodlawn Avenue, through Resurgent Sound of Bethel in California in February.
Danielle Rebon said she experienced a calling from God she wasn’t expecting.
“I was going through a dark time in my life when this opportunity presented itself. God guided me as I wrote the song, “Take Me Back,” in 20 minutes. It was Him working through me,” Danielle said. “It’s not about fame or anything like that for myself. It is about using my gifts of singing and songwriting to spread God’s word and his love.”
Danielle’s CD, “Take Me Back,” features 10 songs she wrote.
“Several people are featured on the CD with me,” said Danielle, said of the album which includes her parents and close friends Heidi Lyons, Kayla-Ann Myers and Norman Moxley.
Danielle is currently working on songs for her next CD which may be recorded in Chillicothe where she resides and works as a DJ for three radio stations, including Ohio’s Gospel Giant, WXIC AM 660.
“So many opportunities have opened up recently. I have been invited to several gospel festivals and churches, songfests and other events to perform. It’s a really exciting time,” said Danielle.
Danielle worked with Mayor Jeff Reser to secure an event at Schines Park in Bucyrus and will perform songs from the CD there on July 27 at 7 p.m.
“I will have CDs available at the event,” said Danielle.
CDs can also be ordered through Danielle’s Facebook page or by calling her at 419-569-2520. They are $10 each if purchased locally. If shipping is required, there is a $2.79 media mailing fee added.
