BUCYRUS — The Mt. Zion Buckeyes 4-H Club met at the Mt. Zion Church on June 3, 2019 at 7 p.m.

There was a call to order and pledges. Roll call was read by club members answering to what project they are taking. Cloverbuds were dismissed, and the secretary and treasurer reports were read.

The T-Shirt Committee announced the club shirts will be coming in by the July meeting. The members had chosen the shirt color to be bright pink.

In other new business, members were reminded that forms for livestock entry, drug use notifications for many animals, style review, demonstration and illustrated talk, favorite foods and make it with lard and speech contest forms would all be available after the meeting.

There was also an announcement about age requirements for junior fair livestock royalty, prince and princess and king and queen.

Ohio State Fair livestock entries are due or postmarked by June 20. Paper entries must be signed by an OSU educator and you must plan ahead for the educator to sign your form. Online entries are approved by the educator after they are submitted.

Members were reminded they needed to sign up to work in the 4-H food stand at the Crawford County Fair. The days that we have available are as follows. Adult help is also needed to work with the kids.

The shifts are: Sunday July 14 from 10:30-1:30 (shifts are 10:30-12:00 and 12:00-1:30) and Wednesday July 17 from 4:30-7:30 (shifts are 4:30-6:00 and 6:00-7:30).

The donations were given to Voice of Hope Pregnancy Center. The last small club community service will be June 17 to be a 4-H Club member in good standing. Members need to bring two boxes of cereal or two boxes of instant oatmeal.

The 4-H club advisers checked over book projects and answered any members questions relating to their book and project.

Demonstrations were given by Weston Prenger, Kyra McCurry, Marlie Hosey, Abby Underwood, Makenna Zaebst, Brandon Vent, Savannah Bender, Isaiah Bender and Jodie Jennings.

Refreshments were given, and the meeting was adjourned.
