BUCYRUS — One victim was transported from the scene of a crash in downtown Bucyrus shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday.
According to Bucyrus Police Department Capt. Neil Assenheimer, an eyewitness saw a utility van driven by an Ontario man run through a red-light signal while traveling southbound on Sandusky Avenue.
The van then reportedly struck a Chrysler 200 driven by a Bucyrus woman westbound on Mary Street.
The woman was transported for possible injuries to Bucyrus Community Hospital.
Assenheimer said the vehicle would be towed from the scene.
The Ontario man was cited for a red-light violation.
The Bucyrus Fire Department and Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Services also responded to the scene.
