A dinner meeting of the Crawford County Democrats is a sure sign of spring and not even Saturday’s Level 1 Snow Advisory was going to stop it.
“Well, I wasn’t sure if we’d have much turn out with such weather evening that we ended up having, but we had a nice turnout this evening. I was really happy to see it,” said Maggie Barth of the Crawford County Democratic Committee. “It was wonderful to hear from our candidates, I think we have some very good candidates. Just an exciting time and looking forward to the fall and we’re getting geared up for a big election this year.”
Democrat candidates for local offices spoke at the dinner held at the Galion Pizza Hut. Leann Hershey is running for Crawford County Auditor and spoke about the evening as well as the upcoming race.
“It was a great time with getting together with other fellow candidates and elected officials,” Hershey said. “I’m excited to be running for Crawford County Auditor and ready to campaign and get started with a new adventure.”
Other candidates who addressed the gathering were Rob Neff who is running for Common Pleas Court judge and Jeff Lehart who is a candidate for state representative. Neff is currently a magistrate in the local justice system. Lehart is making his second attempt to win the Ohio House seat to represent the 87th district.
