The Mt. Zion Buckeyes 4-H Club met at Mt Zion United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. on March 4.
There was a call to order, pledges, roll call and the secretary and treasurer’s reports were read. The roll call was led by members answering to what their favorite animal was.
Members were reminded that their Bratwurst forms for the Carle’s Bratwurst Fundraiser will be due at the March 25 meeting. Payment must be made by the April meeting at the time of pick up. All members were reminded of what amounts would need to be sold so that the member could be in good standing. There is also an option for a buyout if you chose to not do the fundraiser. This pay for all members fair pass and their t-shirts. Members were reminded that the t-shirt committee would meet afterward. Any member of the club is welcome to be a part of the t-shirt committee.
Enrollment forms, release forms and club dues were all due. There was a reminder that if a member planned to add or drop a project, he or she must let the advisor and the extension office know no later than April 15. Many members still needed to sign the constitution.
There are also openings for different dates for refreshments for meetings in the months of June and July 2019.
First year members were given a reminder that they do not have to do a large demonstration. They can choose to do a basic demonstration script if they choose and can get these scripts from an advisor. All livestock exhibitors were given a reminder that they must attend an Ohio 4-H Certified Quality Assurance Program by May 30th. The final reminder was that all 4-H members must participate in one small and one large community service event to stay in good standing with the club.
The donations tonight were given to the Salvation Army in Bucyrus. Demonstrations were given by Kelsie Williams, Mallorie Williams, Hayden Langenderfer, Collin Langenderfer and Lyndie Williams

The Mt. Zion Buckeyes 4-H Club met at The Mt. Zion United Methodist Church at 7p.m. on March 25. There was a call to order, pledges, roll call, and the secretary and treasurer’s reports were read. The roll call was led by members answering to what their favorite color was.
All Bratwurst Orders were due tonight. Payment must be made for pick up at the April 15 meeting. Buyout fees were due for all members that chose to not sell bratwurst. Members were reminded to bring a cooler to pick up their bratwurst at the April 15 meeting. We also chose the design and color for our 4-H shirt for the fair.
April 15 is the first opportunity for a large community service. Please bring fabric scissors to help cut/tie fleece blankets. The second opportunity will be May 6.
If you are a sixth grader going to Mohican for Wynford, you must attend the April 15 meeting. April 15 is also the last day opportunity to participate in a Quality Assurance Program.
There are spots still open for cookies on June 17 (3 dozen cookies) and July 8 (3 dozen cookies, 2 gallons punch, and napkins).
