A day of collaboration among local law enforcement officers led to five arrests Monday.
Officers from the Bucyrus Police Department assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol Monday evening at a traffic stop near Al Smith’s Place. Shane Cameron was arrested on an active warrant and was transported to the county jail.
The arrests continued into Monday night. Tyler Painter was issued a date to appear in court after being arrested on a Crawford County warrant.
A short while later, officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office at Al Smith’s Place where Adam Smith was arrested for falsification and an active warrant out of Hardin County. A Crestline resident was also arrested at the time for a traffic offense and possessing drugs.
Officers once again assisted the Ohio State Patrol at a traffic stop at 10:27 p.m. Monday in the area of Woodlawn Avenue and East Street. Authorities recovered drugs from the vehicle and the driver was arrested for suspicion of OVI.
The Bucyrus Police Department teamed up with the Sheriff’s Office one last time Monday night to assist in arresting Brittany M. Tyson in the area of Rogers St. on an active warrant.
A video reportedly showing Adam Swerlein shoplifting from Kroger last week led Bucyrus police to arrest the twenty-seven-year-old man on charges of theft Monday afternoon. He was given a summons to appear in court and was released.
Thirty-seven-year-old Gary A. Blankenship of Tiro was arrested Sunday evening in the 200 block of E. Mary St. after being accused of theft at Kroger. He was issued a court date and released.
Robert Posey III, 30, was arrested at his residence Sunday night and charged with domestic violence. He was taken to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
A thirty-five-year-old man has been arrested and charged with robbery. Officers from the Bucyrus Police Department apprehended Dennis J. Musselman around 5:00 p.m. Friday after he reportedly shoplifted from Kroger and assaulted an employee. He was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center to be held for court.
Forty-three-year-old Brian Wilson was arrested Friday night in the area of Washington Square on assault charges. He was issued a summons to appear in court and released.
A report of a suspicious person in the 400 block of S. Union St. led Galion police to arrest twenty-six-year-old Samantha Jo Haddix and thirty-one-year-old Marcus Jamar Lewis Friday. The police report indicates that Haddix pulled an item from a small bag on the floor and tried to conceal it. She refused to consent to a search but did direct officers to where a crack pipe was located.
Haddix was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Lewis, of Inkster, Michigan, was charged with possession of drugs and obstructing official business.
Galion police pulled over Andrew Woodman of New Washington Sunday for speeding and soon arrested the twenty-five-year-old man on a Seneca County warrant. Woodman was also charged with OVI, driving under suspension and possession of marijuana. Officers took a pipe and a duffel bag into custody. Woodman was transported to the Crawford County Justice Center.
Other arrests by the Galion Police Department between March 10 and March 16 were: twenty-five-year-old Shaun A. Swick; nineteen-year-old Zachary Harrison Strickland (criminal damaging); twenty-nine-year-old Kenneth D. Lowe (disorderly conduct, resisting arrest); fifty-year-old Richard Brown; forty-seven-year-old Loretta Young; thirty-eight-year-old Terrence L. Sautter II; forty-year-old Chadwick D. Scribner (warrants from Mansfield Police Department and Crawford County Sheriff’s Office); eighteen-year-old Adam Sean Ohler Jr. (telecommunications harassment); thirty-two-year-old Joshua Burton (Crawford County warrant); twenty-nine-year-old David J. Jackson (Crawford County warrant); and Nola Yocum (Richland County warrant).
