Jerry Ray Riley, 72, of Mt. Gilead passed away March 18, 2019 surrounded by his family at home.

Born March 10, 1947 in Galion, he was the son of Ray Riley and Louella (Coykendall) Riley-Quinton.  He married Debbie Bush on August 11, 1983 and she survives.

He attended Col. Crawford Schools and served in the United States Air Force during the Viet Nam War. Jerry worked for Dearman Moving and Storage in Mansfield and Savon Furniture. He was a member of the American Legion Post 97 in Cardington.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters, Janice Riley and Angela (Jeff) Taylor all of St. Cloud Shores, Michigan; sons, Jerry Christopher Riley of St. Cloud Shores, Michigan, Matthew Searls of Mt. Gilead, Christopher Searls of Crestline and Steven “Robert” Searls of Mt. Gilead; 15 grandchildren including Daniel Searls that Jerry raised and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by sister, Judy Moore and Linda Kincaid and numerous aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and full military honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force.

Interment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, Ohio.
