Two finalists emerged from the second weekend of competition in the 53rd Bill Rahm Invitational bowling tournament at Suburban Lanes.

Eight bowlers remained from the original 16 heading into Saturday.

In the first session, Dave Shock eliminated Skip Heimlich, 881-854 and Brian Patrick sent Dave Conti home, 966-819.

Nathan Monk put Mike Lear into the losers’ bracket, 946-850 and Rick McWaters did the same to Don McLaughlin, 994-877.

In the second session, Patrick eliminated McLaughlin, 957-842 and Lear bumped Shock from the field, 921-905.

In Sunday’s first session, eliminated Lear, 944-875 and McWaters pushed Monk to the losers’ bracket, 914-844.

In the second session, Monk dropped Patrick, 1022-835, earning the right to meet McWaters in the championship on Saturday, Feb. 23.

The four-game final will begin at 1 p.m. at Suburban Lanes. If Monk wins that, there will be a one-game roll-off for the title.
