BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Now Athletes of the Week presented by River’s Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing and Signs have been selected for Jan. 28 – Feb. 2, 2019.

This week’s honorees include a Royal who could be nominated for the award every week and an Eagle who consistently provides the tools needed for her team to be successful.

The boy athlete of the week is Wynford High School’s Josh Crall.

Josh Crall

Crall scored 44 points Feb. 2 to defeat Carey, 66-64, and pull closer to the Blue Devils in the standings.

Crall’s 44 points were one point shy of tying the Wynford record for most points in a game.

It also was double his season points-per-game average.

The girl athlete of the week is Colonel Crawford High School’s Danielle Horsley.

Danielle Horsley

Horsley scored a team-high 18 points on Jan. 29 in a 58-27 win versus Bucyrus. Her total also tied for the game-high total.

She also tied for the game-high rebounding total with six.

The performance bested her season averages in both categories.

Congratulations to both honorees.
