A snapped brake line is enough for a trucker to worry about but when that happens on a busy state route during the middle of an afternoon, it’s enough to ruin anyone’s day.
The driver of a Millcraft Paper Co. semi-tractor trailer had been backing his rig into A-1 Printing’s parking lot shortly before 2:30 Thursday afternoon when his brake line snapped. The unfortunate driver had to leave his semi spanning all lanes of State Route 4 as he awaited help.
The nearest intersections were blocked off by the Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Bucyrus Police Department and traffic was redirected.
Ronk’s Mobile Truck Repair saved the day when they arrived to replace the snapped break line. Traffic soon resumed its regular flow after the Millcraft Paper Co. driver maneuvered the truck and headed back down SR 4.
