Crestline police got the help they were looking for in the form of an anonymous tip in their investigation of a rash of recent burglaries. They’ve turned that tip into an arrest, conviction and recovery of stolen items.
Twenty-one-year-old Ezra Benedict was arrested on Feb. 25 and convicted of three counts of receiving stolen property. Benedict was sentenced to 540 days in jail with 450 days suspended.
Police recovered laptop computers, stereo speakers, tablet computers cell phone chargers GPS devices, cell phones, ID cards, debit cards and Social Security cards.
