BUCYRUS — A man found dead in an alley on Sunday may have suffered a fatal overdose.
According to Bucyrus Police Chief David Koepke, the preliminary investigation into the death of Peter D. Clary, 50, of Shelby, indicates the man overdosed.
“We are still waiting on lab test and autopsy results but our investigation indicates that he died from a fatal overdose,” Koepke said.
Koepke said the investigation continues to determine the details of the incident.
“It appears that he overdosed in a nearby apartment then someone put him in the alley,” Koepke said.
Clary’s body was found in an alley between Wiley and Iron streets in the 500 block of East Rensselaer around 4:30 p.m. He was discovered by a person that was disposing of garbage into a dumpster in the alley.
