BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Now Athletes of the Week presented by River’s Edge Embroidery, Screen Printing and Signs have been selected by the fans.

Two athletes have been selected for their performances during the week of Dec, 10-15.

On the boys’ side, Crestline High School’s Ty Clark was voted the top performer with his record-breaking performance.

According to his nomination, Clark broke the Crestline boys’ basketball school record for career rebounds with 528 in the Bulldogs’ game against Lucas.

Clark’s record-grabbing rebound broke the record previously held by Jamie Potter, a 1997 Crestline graduate.

“Ty deserves this record and has worked hard for it,” Crestline’s first-year head coach Tyler Sanders said. “He has worked hard to try and help progress the culture of the basketball program at Crestline and this is one of the rewards that comes along with that.”

The athlete of the week for the girls is Ni’Georia Floyd of the Bucyrus High School girls’ basketball team.

Floyd led the Lady Redmen with 24 points in a game against Seneca East.

Floyd made four 3-point baskets on her way to scoring the game-high point total.

She leads Bucyrus in scoring and ranks second in the Northern 10 in the same category.

Congratulations to both winners.
