ORIGINAL POST:
MORRAL — Ridgedale Local Schools were placed on lockdown Thursday morning as the result of a request of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Superintendent Bob Britton, police activity north of the school’s campus led to the request from the sheriff’s office. He said no police activity involved the school or was on school grounds.
Britton said an all-call was sent to the district’s parents, sharing the information from the school. He said posts also were made on the district’s social media pages.
He said all students were safe and accounted for and parents are asked to not come to the school to pick up their children until the all-clear is given for the safety of the parents and students alike.
An all-clear will be given in similar fashions as the all-call was sent out.
