Dick Luscaleet will be remembered for his ornery personality and always made you laugh with a joke. He loved his family and being around people. Richard “Dick” E. Luscaleet, 74, of Galion passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 17, 2018 at Avita Galion Hospital.

Born June 23, 1944 in Galion, he was the son of the late Dale and Jean (Harsh) Luscaleet. He married Anita (Justice) Luscaleet on March 10, 1970 and they enjoyed 48 years together.

Dick started working at a young age with his dad at the filling station and owned and operated several local businesses around Galion. He later owned his own trucking company for 35 years. Dick enjoyed camping, socializing and wheeling around in his golf cart. For over 50 years he met his buddies at Millie’s Diner and later at The Whistle Stop.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son Donald R. (Karen D.) Mankin Jr. of Hillard and their children Dalton, Riley and Hayden, daughter Lisa L. (Kendall) Henry of Texas and their children and grandchildren and son Jim Renander of Nebraska and daughter Gidget L. (Dan) Grau of Bucyrus and their children Evy and Audrey; sisters Sandy (Larry) Finley of Leesburg and Linda (Butch) Heminger of Galion and brother Jim (Denice) Luscaleet of Richwood; many nieces and nephews and his dog Missy.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833. Friends may also call from 10:00 a.m.to 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21 prior to services being held at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Galion.
