Sheriff’s Office investigating death of Port Clinton woman

BUCYRUS — The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a Port Clinton woman.

Deputies were called to McGlone’s Hotel, 3853 Lincoln Highway, Bucyrus, at 8:59 p.m. Monday evening regarding an unresponsive female.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Casandra L. Emch, 39, of Port Clinton was found to be unresponsive. Narcan and emergency medical attention was given to Emch and she was transported to Bucyrus Community Hospital where she died from an apparent overdose.

Members of the Whetstone Volunteer Fire Department and Portsmouth Emergency Ambulance Service also assisted at the hotel.

The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
