Carol D. German, 65, of Galion passed away at home on Monday, October 29, 2018.

She was born May 12, 1953 in Galion and was the daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Bauer) Studer. On April 8, 1996 she married John E. German and he preceded her in death on October 20, 2014.

Carol graduated from Colonel Crawford High School in 1971 and retired after many years as a nurse’s aide at Woodside Village in Mt. Gilead. She enjoyed yard work, eating dinners out, especially Mexican food, crossword puzzles, feeding birds and games on her I-Pad.

Carol is survived by her mom, Helen Studer of Leesville; son Charles Dean (Nichole) Van Horne of Charleston, West Virginia; daughter Cynthia (Scott) Rhodes of New Washington; step-sons Jeff (Lisa) Tolley of Galion and James (Beth) Tolley of Mt. Gilead; step-daughters Joan (Denzil) Burkhart of Cardington and June Tolley of Mansfield; 9 grandchildren, Courtney, Brianna, Gabriella, Candyel, Tyler, Shelby, Johnna, Ben and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren, John Douglas, Dakota, Cheyenne, Rhett, Christian and Caden; sisters Charma (Bob) Cooper and Elaine (Rich) Surovy and a brother Mark (Bunny) Studer.

Carol is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Studer.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 where services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, November 2 with Rev. Joe Stafford officiating. Burial will be in Blooming Grove Cemetery.
