After more than two decades the Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure is returning to Bucyrus. The week-long cycling event will end in Bucyrus on June 20 with riders staying overnight before leaving the next day.
More than 2,500 bike riders and support personnel will come into town on the final leg of the journey. The event will provide many opportunities for the community to showcase its hospitality. The Bucyrus Tourism and Visitors’ Bureau is looking to meet with any non-profit group that is interested in possibly providing food for the riders while they are in town the evening of the 20th and morning of the 21st.
That meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Bucyrus Public Library’s basement meeting room.
Those interested should have a representative attend the meeting for details on what will be needed. GOBA Columbus Director Julie Van Winkle will be in attendance to further explain their expectations.
