We have hit the halfway point in the high school football season, and Week 6 brings with it a load of games with extreme importance to league contention and playoff implications.

The fans, Davey Jones and Will Beard think Wynford will continue its dominance of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference, while all the other Fanatics think Seneca East will go down in history as the first team to give the Royals their first N10 regular season loss.

Four games on the schedule ended up being unanimous picks for the Fanatics.

Every Fanatic and the fans think Bucyrus will pick up its first league win of the season, while Buckeye Central remains in search of its first win, and everyone also believe Mohawk, Northmor and Elgin will all come out victorious.

James Massara is the lone Fanatic to pick Upper Sandusky in the Wyandot County rivalry game with Carey, as everyone else believes the Blue Devils will bounce back in their bid for the Tarhe Trophy after previously losing to Mohawk. The Tarhe Trophy is given to the overall winner between Mohawk, Carey and Upper Sandusky.

Jared Moore was the lone pick for Crestline this week after the Bulldogs played in his favor last week. However, after picking Crestline last week, even the fans agree that the Lucas Cubs will be too much for the Bulldogs to handle.

The majority of the Fanatics and the fans think Galion will be able to bounce back after two-straight Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference losses, while Beard and Josh Stallings think the Presidents will find their footing after a tough week against MOAC-power Pleasant last week.

The fans proved to be the tie-breaking vote tilting the picks in favor of Ashtabula St. John, while half the Fanatics think the long drive for the Heralds from northeast Ohio will fall in Ridgedale’s favor.

Shelby is the favorite for most of the Fanatics in a battle with Huron in non-conference play.

The Fanatics had a pretty down week in terms of getting picks right. Massara posted the best record at 7-3 to move into a tie with Beard for second, Dan Messerschmidt jumped Time Birie for fourth place and the fans went 6-4 to move ahead of Stallings for sixth place.
