Keep the shovels handy and the snow blowers running, at least for the next couple of days as Old Man Winter gets set to dump on North Central Ohio again.

The National Weather Service has placed this area under a winter storm warning beginning at 7 o’clock this evening and remaining in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday. During that time the forecast calls for 8 to 10 inches of new snow fall in the area.

Missing will be the persistent heavy winds and brutal sub-zero temperatures resulting in numbing will chills of -20 or colder that have twice inundated the area in recent weeks. Temperatures are still expected to be in the single digits and possibly dip below zero through Saturday before warming up next week.

Light snow showers are expected to start falling by midafternoon today and become heavier by 9 o’clock this evening with a possibility of sleet mixed in.
