The Crawford County Courthouse renovation project took a step forwards and one back. As a result, that project will continue to be on hold after the Crawford County Commissioners meeting with Bruce Heinlen Thursday morning.
Both Heinlen and Commissioner Doug Weisenauer said the project will receive no state or federal funding. That does not table the project indefinitely. Commissioners want to continue moving forward with the project, albeit with the possibility of using different construction materials, as well as leaving open the possibility of using more phases to complete the project.
Options were mulled over on what to remove from the first phase of construction with no definite decisions made on what parts of the project to nix, and which to push forward on the first phase of construction.
The Crawford County Commissioners plan to review the current project prior to their next meeting with Heinlen on Feb. 11.
