The 2014 Crawford County Fair will be cheaper to attend than in years past after the Crawford County Fair Board voted to reduce prices by one dollar.

The motion to drop the gate price down to five dollars was voted unanimous. As a result of the price drop the half price Wednesday will be eliminated. The gate price wasn’t the only admission change as the fair board approved raising the price for Senior Citizens Day, and Veterans Day to two dollars.

The edition of the Crawford County Fair got a little boost with entertainment as the Crawford County Fair Board agreed to bring in the Buckeye Rodeo for the Monday of the week of the fair.

Representatives from the Crawford County Junior Fair Board attended Wednesday night’s Fair Board meeting. During the meeting the Junior Fair Board revealed the theme for this year’s fair will be “Y’all can’t camouflage the talent at the Crawford County Fair.”

The Crawford County Fair Board also voted in favor of brining in Steve Nace Racing for a motorcycle race event. The date hasn’t been set yet, but the race will not happen during the course of the 2014 fair.

The Fair Board approved using A-1 printing for the 2014 Crawford County Fair book.

Compensation for the judges for the 2014 fair was approved at Wednesday night’s meeting. Judges will be paid a flat rate of $250.

The next Crawford County Fair Board meeting will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26. During the meeting discussions will take place about possibly changing future dates of the Crawford County Fair.
