NEWS RELEASE:
MANSFIELD — The United Way of Richland County will kick-off their annual Day of Caring on Friday, August 3 at 8:15 a.m. in the gazebo at Central Park.
We currently have 26 companies and organizations supplying 240 volunteers. These volunteers are scheduled to disperse to 15 project sites and provide support towards a total of 35 projects. A light breakfast with will be served by Dan Lew Exchange and special guest Miss Ohio will be performing.
Day of Caring is a great opportunity for team-building and provides volunteers the chance to make a positive impact in their community. Volunteers spend the day with a United Way Partner Agency or other non-profit agency completing projects and increasing their awareness of local human service agencies and discovering what people working together can accomplish for their community.
