For one Common Pleas Court defendant it was three strikes and you’re in – back in prison.

Brandon Powell was ordered by Judge Russell Wiseman on Tuesday to serve out the rest of his four-year prison sentence for robbery after violating his community control for the third time. Powell was arrested in Delaware County and admitted to the Delaware County deputy that he was on his way to Columbus in order to purchase heroin.

Powell will be on mandatory post release control for three years, and will receive credit for time already served.

Bonnie Bittner, who is serving time in Marysville Correctional Institute, was arraigned on the charges of Felony 5 forgery. On August 9, Bittner allegedly forged a check under the name of Oak Ridge Construction. Judge Russell Wiseman set bond for Bittner at $25,000 and appointed John Andrew Motter to represent her.

Tonya Lafferty was recommended for judicial release upon the completion of in-patient drug treatment program. Lafferty was granted her release from Marysville and will be placed in the custody of the Sheriff’s Office until placed in treatment.

Shaun Bloomfield had his community control hearing continued and will be held at the Crawford County jail on a $25,000 bond.
