NEWS RELEASE:
GALION — The Board of Directors for HomeCare Matters Home Health and Hospice has selected Misty Taylor, RN, CDP as its Executive Director. She replaces Bert Maglott, RN who held the position for 32 years.

“I’m excited to return to my passion of home health and hospice by combining the various aspects of my career experience with serving our local communities,” explains Taylor. “HomeCare Matters is unique in the fact that each and every employee resides in the communities that we serve, from the executive team to the nursing staff and every person in between. With this advantage, all employees have the best interest of our patients’ health outcomes in their hearts. Whether overcoming and improving upon our patients’ mobility or independence in their homes following an illness or surgery or supporting patients as they pass on with dignity, respect, and comfort from our hospice program, the positive experiences and successes of our patients and their families are also our successes. We strive to provide excellence in all the things that we do.”
Taylor comes to HomeCare Matters with a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry, both as a nurse and executive leader. She most recently served as the Associate Vice President for Concerto Health Care Management in Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois, where she was
responsible for strategic development and the oversight of program activities. Taylor joins HomeCare Matters with eleven years of senior level leadership; six years focused in managed care and five years in home care and hospice.
“In addition to Misty’s home health and hospice background, she has served at various state and national-level roles for managed care organizations,” explains Jerome Morasko, Board President of HomeCare Matters Home Health and Hospice and President / CEO of Avita Health System. “While her most recent role was the Associate Vice President for Concerto Health, she has also worked for Molina and CareSource managed care organizations. Misty’s combination of experience, business acumen, and advanced nursing leadership skills will prove to serve our local communities and our home health and hospice programs well.”
Taylor attended Capella University for her Master’s in Nursing Administration. She is a native of Shelby, Ohio and has lived in Crawford and Richland counties. She now resides in Lexington with her husband and two children, who attend Lexington City Schools. She enjoys volunteering in her community church, riding with her husband on his Harley, and supporting local athletic events.
