Things got a little warm Monday evening at Baker Brothers Sporting Goods in Bucyrus thanks to a fire in the attic at the store on the corner of Walnut and East Charles streets.
Firefighter Ryan Sparks said the fire as well as damage was limited to the attic area and the store itself was not damaged. Firefighters took the call at approximately 7:30 p.m. and were on the scene until 9. There was a fire watch at the store until 11.
Sparks noted the cause of the fire is still under investigation but noted it could be something as simple as an increase in electric usage because of the extreme cold.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
