A Marion man was killed when the vehicle he was driving crashed into a parked vehicle on North Sandusky Avenue, just south of US 30, Friday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Bucyrus Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Travis E. Blakeman, 37, Marion, was driving a 2008 Honda Civic southbound on North Sandusky Avenue at 1:22 p.m. Friday when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a parked vehicle in the rear that is owned by Lisa Alsept, Bucyrus.
Blakeman was unresponsive at the scene and troopers rendered first aid until Life Support Team EMS arrived on the scene. He was taken by ambulance to Bucyrus Community Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased by Crawford County Coroner Dr. Chris Johnson.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Bucyrus Police Department, Bucyrus City Fire Department and Life Support Team EMS.
The crash remains under investigation by the patrol.
