Fresh off the heels of 2014’s first snow storm, North Central Ohio is forecast to feel the fury of Mother Nature yet again.

At 8:01 p.m. Friday evening the National Weather Service of Cleveland, Ohio issued a Winter Storm Watch for Crawford County in effect from 4 a.m. Sunday, and expiring at 1 a.m. on Monday as a low pressure system will move northeast through the Ohio Valley Sunday, and into the Eastern Great Lakes Sunday night.

The storm is expected to bring 4-8 inches of snow to the area along with temperatures dipping below zero on Monday and remaining near or below zero through Tuesday. Due to the frigid conditions along with a 15-25 mph winds with gusts over 30 the National Weather Service has also issued a Wind Chill Watch from 1 a.m. Monday until 3 p.m. Tuesday as wind chills are expected to be as low as 40 degrees below zero.
