Harold E. Kessler, age 81 of 4797 County Highway 2, McCutchenville, Ohio died at 12:45 A.M., Tuesday, March 20,2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 26, 1936 to Raymond F. and Esther (Goshe) Kessler in Carey, Ohio. He married Dorothy M. (Elmore-Bianchi) Kessler at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Kirby, Ohio on July 26, 1958 and she survives.
Surviving are the following children, Diane (Richard) Channing, Bellevue, Ohio, Lori (Don) Skaggs, Bucyrus, Ohio, John Kessler, McCutchenville, Ohio, Sharon (Gregg) Keller, Shelby, Ohio and Angela (Don) Michaels, Burgoon, Ohio. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters, Gerald (Joan) Kessler, Tiffin, Ohio, Rose Marie (George) Fox, Findlay, Ohio, Alice McDermott, Sycamore, Ohio, Virginia Trytko, Findlay, Ohio, Margie (Russ) Rupright, Findlay, Ohio, Mary Romig, Tiffin, Ohio, Don (Linda) Kessler, Findlay ,Ohio, Patricia Wurm, Tiffin, Ohio, David (Cathy) Kessler, Tiffin, Ohio and Mike (Dawn) Kessler, Tiffin, Ohio. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Kessler and infant brother, Richard Kessler plus his parents.
Harold worked at the former General Electric Plant in Tiffin, Ohio for 24 years and retired from Farmer’s Commission after 15 years. He was a former volunteer fireman for McCutchenville Fire Department, loved to camp, feed birds, make trips to Kentucky and Shiloh, Ohio to deliver things for needy people and enjoyed spending time and making memories with his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services for Harold will be held on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Sycamore, Ohio with the Rev. Gary Walters officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery, McCutchenville, Ohio. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home, Sycamore, Ohio.
