The Bucyrus City School District, in conjunction with the Bucyrus Police Department, is happy to announce that a juvenile was taken into custody after threats were made against the district on social media. This juvenile is awaiting a hearing on Tuesday, Feb. 13, and the investigation is ongoing.
“We are unable to release the identity of the individual in custody because the suspect is a minor,” said Chief David Koepke, Bucyrus Police Department. “We intend to pursue this case and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law.”
“This is a major step forward in this case,” said Kevin Kimmel, Bucyrus Superintendent. “We will work collaboratively with all law enforcement agencies to ensure those individuals involved are prosecuted to the fullest legal extent and school district rules and regulations.”
