Leadercast is the world’s largest one-day leadership conference, broadcast live from Atlanta and simulcast to hundreds of locations around the world on May 5, including Crawford County. This year marks the 17th year of the annual leadership conference, and the sixth year that the Crawford Partnership has hosted it locally. On May 5, Leadercast will take place at Grace Point Church, 683 Portland Way North in Galion, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

“It’s a day that we come together and recharge,” said Erin Stine, the Partnership’s Community Development Director. “Hearing from leaders around the world is a unique opportunity that I think we are very fortunate to have here in Crawford County. It’s hard to take time out of our busy work and family lives to seek out wisdom from people like Andy Stanley, Laura Bush, Desmond Tutu, Rudy Giuliani, Simon Sinek and Peyton Manning. Leadercast gives us the chance to take a break, listen, and learn.”

It’s also a chance to connect with local leaders, she added, and this year’s Leadercast seeks to enhance that experience with breakout sessions.

“In addition to the simulcast featuring speakers like Molly Fletcher, Suzy Welch and Tyler Perry, this year we are giving people a chance to hear from local leaders,” Stine said. “Throughout the day we will have rooms at Grace Point dedicated to interactive sessions on personal leadership development and leading in the community. We’re really excited to offer this change of pace, because we think it will really give everyone a chance to connect more deeply with those around them, and apply what they are learning on a more direct level.”

The theme of this year’s Leadercast is, “Powered by Purpose.”  According to GiANT Impact, Leadercast’s parent company, purpose is what defines us, drives us, and empowers us.  It is the glue for an organization and the fuel for an individual.  Today’s organization can’t rely on old practices. A new organization is emerging and at the center of its driving force is the igniting power of purpose.

Leadercast will allow attendees to discover the steps they can take to uncover their purpose, to reconnect to their organization’s “why”, attract and engage the right people, and thrive as a team.
