In a pair of inter-conference baseball games Tuesday night, the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference bested the N10 in both.

Scoring 11 runs on 11 hits the Galion Tigers blanked the Bucyrus Redmen in five innings at Heise Park, 11-0.

Galion pitcher Will Donahue pitched a dominating performance going five scoreless innings and allowing one hit. Evans, the first of Bucyrus pitchers, was charged with the loss for the Redmen.

Donahue was just as impressive on the offensive side of the ball going two-for-three with three RBI’s and two runs. Second baseman Mac Spears went three-for-three with two RBI’s and two runs. Devin Baughn also went two-for-three for the Tigers with two RBI’s and a run. While going hitless in three at-bats, Garrett Kuns still drove in three runs and scored a run.

The lone Bucyrus hit of the night belonged to Patterson.

With the win, Galion improves to 3-1 while Bucyrus drops to 2-2.

In the other MOAC-N10 match-up, River Valley edged Wynford by the final of 3-2 with a pair of runs in the top of the seventh.

Brown started the game on the mound for the Royals and went 4.2 scoreless innings. He stuck out four, walked five and gave up three hits. Hensel came on in the fifth and was charged with the loss.

Issler went the distance for River Valley and got the win.

Oberlaner got two hits for Wynford and drove in a run. Hensel and Imbody also hit safely for the Royals who are now 1-3 on the campaign. River Valley evens its record at 2-2.

In other area baseball action it was Mohawk over Buckeye Central, 9-0.

In softball Mohawk defeated Buckeye Central 22-14 and River Valley downed the Lady Royals 13-1.

For Wynford, Hannah Messmer was charged with the pitching loss. Kymber Sand had a single and double and Grace Schiefer logged two singles and scored the Lady Royals’ only run.

In boys track it was Colonel Crawford 92, Upper Sandusky 49 and Carey 31. In another tri-meet it was Ridgedale 71.5, Wynford 40.5 and Mohawk 35.

For the girls – Upper Sandusky 78, Carey 52 and Colonel Crawford 45; Mohawk 66, Wynford 56 and Ridgedale 21.
