Two people were injured and taken from the scene for medical treatment when fire broke out early Tuesday morning in a house east of Crestline.
The Crestline Fire Department received a call about a fire at 4851 Old Lincoln Highway at 4:35 Tuesday morning. Along with those from Crestline, firefighters from Galion, Shelby and Springfield Township in Richland Township also responded.
Acting Crestline Fire Chief Doug Manring estimated that several people lived in the house, but that all were able to escape the structure. Two people did require treatment ad were transported from the scene. Officials did not identify the residents.
Fire officials deemed the house a total loss and the State Fire Marshal’s Office is looking to determined what started the fire.
