Brad Murtiff, a Bucyrus resident and current Vice President and Regional Executive is promoted to Executive Vice President at the First Federal Community Bank of Bucyrus. Brad has a long history of finance, lending and banking. In his new role, Brad will assume all responsibilities of the bank, and will become the President and CEO upon the retirement of Phil Gerber at years end.

Brad grew up in Delta, Ohio and upon graduation from high school, attended and graduated in 1987 from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. He joined ITT in the finance area as a management trainee.

He entered the banking industry as a Branch Manager at First Union Home Equity Corporation. He moved on to the former Farmers Citizen Bank in Bucyrus as head of Secondary Market Mortgage Lending & Vice President. He held the same position at the First National Bank of Shelby. And prior to his relocation to Bucyrus in 1997 and subsequent position at First Federal he was the Wholesale Mortgage Lending Account Executive at Flagstar Bank.

Brad is Married to Lynn for 23 years and has lived in Bucyrus since 1997. They have a son, Cole, a Sophomore at Ohio University and a daughter, Samantha, a junior at Bucyrus High School. He has been very involved in the school system, and is the current President of the Bucyrus City Schools Board of Education. In addition to that he has coached at various levels at Bucyrus High School for baseball, basketball and football.

Brad has had many leadership positions in his life but looks to this responsibility as his most important. Please stop in at First Federal and help us congratulate Brad in his new position.
