Over 900 students representing over 35 Pioneer programs and 14 partner schools will be volunteering during this event that stretches through 4 counties. On Wednesday, Oct. 16 Pioneer Career and Technology students will be participating in various community service projects from painting at schools, cleaning parks, decorating nursing homes, school and church ground cleanings, police and fire station vehicle cleaning, library projects, working with food pantries, toys for tots and much more. Mayors, Superintendents, Service organizations and many other have helped put together projects and for that we are very thankful.

The students will be out volunteering in their home schools community from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. that day.

Pioneer SkillsUSA officers organized and facilitated this event, with the help of a multi-school focus group and help from the other Career Technical Student Organizations which are: BPA, FFA, FCCLA and HOSA. The students and advisors got all of the plans together. SkillsUSA is a national organization whose mission is to bring together students, teachers and industry in order to help students excel and to assure that America has a skilled workforce. As part of its mission, SkillsUSA promotes community service.
