A dispute over village water and annexation is at the issue of one business owner wanting to leave the village of Crestline for neighboring Jackson Township.
In an email to Council Clerk Annette Johnston from former mayor Pete Dzugan, Dzugan requested that three parcels of land that he owns, including the parcel that includes his business Precision Technology, Inc., be detached from the village and make them part of Jackson Township.
In Dzugan’s request he reported at a neighbor on Middletown Road was given village water and not required to annex.
Under questioning from council, Village Administrator Marc Milliron admitted that this was true and it was his decision to install a water line and tap.
