With a slice of the ribbon the Heritage Home Goods store officially opened for business at 130 Harding Way East in Galion on Tuesday.
Offering simple living home décor, custom as well as hand-made furniture, husband and wife owners Kelly and Brad Gibson along with partner Pat Rock were on hand as the store had its grand opening. Kelly Gibson explained why the trio decided to open the store.
“We were used to doing craft shows and we thought it was important to start investing more here in our community here in Galion. The downtown area really needs to be revitalized and come alive” Kelly Gibson said. “So we thought that a good way to do that is to open a shop, bring some revenue into Galion and be an important part of the community.”
“There are so many services that we offer, and if folks could come into the shop we could explain more, they can come and get gifts, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays we carry it all,” Gibson continued.
During official ribbon cutting ceremonies which featured several dignitaries of Galion’s government in attendance, Galion/Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Joe Kleinecht welcomed the business to the Galion community. After the ribbon cutting refreshments were served to anyone who wished to come to the store and browse their offerings on Tuesday.
Initial store hours for Heritage Home Goods will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays. The store will be closed on Sundays, and Mondays.
