Press release

Entrepreneur and pastor Larry Lotz was born in Fredricktown and grew up on a nearby farm. He will be the featured speaker at an interdenominational Men’s Breakfast at 7 AM Wednesday, September 14 at the Bucyrus Community Hospital Cafeteria. Lotz will be sharing “Miracle Baby – My Story”.

Lotz worked multiple jobs at a Chevrolet auto dealer and Mobile Oil station, until becoming a local real estate broker and auctioneer in Knox County. Lotz had a life-changing experience in January of 1972 and out of that experience transitioned out of the real estate business into pastoring in Richland county for 13 years.

In 1991 Lotz and his wife moved to La Crosse, WI, to pastor a “mega” church there. In 1994 Lotz purchased a doctor’s clinic in the county on 175 acres and transformed it into a Christian retreat center (Valley Retreat Center). They operated it until 2012 at which time he moved back to Ohio and are now semi-retired in Fredricktown but are busier than ever.

This prayer breakfast is open to all men and is being hosted by Woodlawn United Methodist Church, Tom Gruver, pastor. For additional information call Bill Denton at 419 562-1118.
