Crestline Village Council approved adding some real estate to the village after voting to purchase a parking lot from the Crestline Exempted Village School District on Monday.
Council unanimously passed a resolution authorizing an agreement between the village and the school district to purchase a parking lot adjacent to Hamilton Park for one dollar.
Crestline School Board President Bob Salvati explained to council Monday that several parties are interested in purchasing the former site of Hutson Stadium, but the easement is needed to move forward. Salvati added that the school board had spent $7,000 for surveys and legal fees associated to the project.
