The Galion Back to School Bash may not be for another few weeks, but the Galion First Church of the Nazarene will be collecting supplies in the meantime.
Last year the “Back Pack Ministry” handed out 120 backpacks filled with supplies, and it hopes to double that amount this year. To do that, it needs some help with collecting supplies. Donations should be dropped off at the church office, 777 Fairview Ave., or you can contact Amanda Grimes, Children’s Director, at 567-217-1573. Spots for vendors, local businesses, and other booths will also be available.
The Back to School Bash is scheduled for 3 – 5 p.m. on Aug. 14. Children ages 1- to 6-years-old will receive a backpack and supplies.
