Alleged community control violations will most likely keep a Bucyrus man in the county jail for a little bit longer.

Thirty-one-year-old Joseph Lewis appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Wednesday afternoon for a probation violation hearing. Lewis allegedly violated the terms of his probation when he failed to report to his supervising officer and tested positive for THC, cocaine, opiates, and benzodiazepines in a urine screen.

County probation officer Eric Bohach said a warrant was issued for Lewis’ arrest as Lewis had not been seen since April.

Judge Sean Leuthold appointed Andrew Motter as Lewis’ attorney and set bond at $200,000.

Lewis pleaded guilty to theft and drug possession in March and received five years on community control.
