The Central Joint Ambulance District (CJAD) continued to discuss the main topic of last month’s meeting- the record retention policy during their meeting Wednesday night.
In May, the members of the CJAD passed legislation to put a policy in place for any member of the public who made a request for the group’s public records.
Treasurer Milton Underwood reported that the means of organizing those records is taking shape.
He is currently in the process of copying documents from past meetings and said he has “records back from the last couple of years.”
Discussion arose about where to physically store the records when they were all assembled, as well as if the records and record keeping practices would be subjected to an audit in the future.
Underwood replied, “No.”
It was then suggested that the group may want to keep a log to track the dates of requests for future reference.

LifeSupport’s COO Jesse Sipes reported the CJAD’s monthly totals for May.
There were a total of 225 9-1-1 calls. Out of those, four were false calls, there were 33 refusals, and 11 canceled calls.
Bucyrus city had the most calls with 148, while the average number of calls per township (apart from Bucyrus) was approximately five each for the month.
The members unanimously decided to cancel July’s CJAD meeting due in part to the Crawford County Fair.
