The summer festival season in Crawford County officially begins tonight with the opening of the Dutchtown Hatchery Festival in New Washington.

Big O Amusements will provide the rides for the festival which runs tonight, Friday and Saturday. Rides begin at 4 o’clock this evening, at 3 Friday afternoon and on Saturday from noon to 11.

hatchery festival 2Tonight’s main attractions are State Sanctioned Kids Pedal Tractor Pull at 7 and the Luke Riestschlin Band who will be on stage at the beer garden from 8 to 11.

On Friday, the chicken barbeque will be at the K of C Hall from 4 to 8 with the John Kennedy Band playing at the Gazebo and Alternative Ending at the festival’s Beer Garden.

Saturday festival attractions include a breakfast and bake sale at St. John’s church, a motorcycle poker run at 9 o’clock in the morning, a garden tractor pull, 5 p.m. 5K run, musical entertainment from four groups throughout the day and 10 p.m. fireworks, weather permitting.

The Super 50/50 Drawing and drawing for the 2016 Polaris ranger will be held after the fireworks.
